Linked PMWeb Record

 
Every file added to Document Manager automatically becomes a full-fledged PMWeb record. This record has the same features as other record types, including the ability to route them for approval using Visual Workflow. They also have special features, related to Document Manager.

  • Folder Button - Click this button to open Document Manager in Explorer mode

The buttons that appear here vary, depending on the file type that is linked to the record. These are the same buttons that appear in the Details Pane in Document Manager Explorer.

  • Geolocation Field - Store the latitude and longitude of the file here. You can click the helper button to open the Google Address Dialog. Note that for the Geolocation attribute to appear, you must first enable the setting "Store Geolocation Data when Possible" in Portfolio/Settings/General Settings System Subtab. If the setting is enabled, PMWeb attempts to extract geolocation data from the file when it is uploaded, and automatically stores it here. You can adjust this, or manually add the data, whenever you wish.
  • Author, Percent Complete, and Candidate Design Fields - These are examples of custom file attributes. If custom attributes are defined for the folder, they appear here.
  • Image Preview - If the file is an eligible type, a thumbnail preview of it appears here
  • File Attributes - Read only. System Attributes from the linked Document Manager file.
  • Specification Fields - Specifications
