The Calendar control can be used interactively to create two types of exceptions:

To mark a regular day off as a working day, left click it on the Calendar control. A new line immediately appears at the top of the Days Off table. Enter a description of the exception (optional) and then click the Save button in the Days Off table toolbar to save the exception. The date is now highlighted in color in the Calendar control. An example of this type of exception is near the end of a project when resources are asked to work extra days in order to finish on time.
To mark a working day as an off day, left click it on the Calendar control. A new line immediately appears at the top of the Days Off table. Enter a description of the exception (optional) and then click the Save button in the Days Off table toolbar to save the exception. The date is now highlighted in gray in the Calendar control. An example of this type of exception is a public holiday.
