Link Setup

 
One of the options when linking to a Primavera P6 schedule is to link directly to a P6 database. To do so you must first configure a P6 database connection in this page. You can create as many profiles as you wish and designate one as the default. See Schedules for information about linking schedules.

PRIMAVERA CHECKBOX

If checked, the "Primavera" option appears in the Application dropdown list in the Link Schedule Dialog. This has no effect on the "Primavera XML" option, which is always available.

LINK TABLE

  • Default Field - The profile with this box checked is available to use in the Link Schedule Dialog.
  • Web Service URL Field - Required. The URL of the Web service you will use to connect to the P6 database.
  • Use Network Credential Field - Use network credential to log
  • Web Service User Field - The name of the user logging into the Web service
  • Web Service Password Field - The password of the user logging into the Web service
  • Domain Field - The network domain where the P6 database resides
  • Server Name Field - Required. The name of the server where the P6 database resides.
  • Database Field - Required. The name of the P6 database.
  • Login Field - Required. The name of the PMWeb user.
  • Password Field - Required. The password of the PMWeb user.
  • Inactive Field - If unchecked, the P6 connection data is saved but the profile can't be used to make a connection.
