Define Users Tab

 
 
To define users, you must have defined at least one user group on the Groups tab. Users can be defined from scratch or linked to contacts (see Companies). Each user must be assigned a license type. Fields at the top of the tab recap licenses used and available.

Read only. This table modules and Toolbox tools. A checkbox appears next to the features licensed for your installation.

Read only. This is a recap of the total number of licenses you have purchased, how many have been used, and how many remain available.

Read only. This section shows the number of licenses, by type, that you have purchased, and for each, how many have been assigned and how many remain available.

Read only. This field shows the date on which your current license expires.

Note that the "admin" user cannot be deleted and has super user privileges that cannot be revoked. Consult your implementation team to decide who should have access to the admin account.
 
  • Image Field - Use this field to upload an image of the user. This image appears on the Control Panel in the Home button.
  • ID Field - Required. An alphanumeric ID for the user.
  • Contact Field - If you wish, use this field to link the user to a contact in Companies.
  • First Name Field - Required. Enter the user's first name.
  • Last Name Field - Enter the user's last name.
  • Company Field - If you wish, use this field to link the user to a Company. If you selected a contact, this field is read only.
  • License Type Field - Required. A system defined list: "Full" or "Guest". The selection in this field determines which groups are available to select in the next field, Group Name. If you select "Guest" here, only groups with "Guest" checked in the Options table on the Groups tab are available in Group Name.
  • Group Name Field - Required. Select one of the user groups defined on the Groups tab.
  • Named License Field - Required. A system list: "Named" or "Concurrent". The choices available may be filtered by the selection in the License Type field.
  • Password Field - Enter the user's password here.
  • Email Field - Enter the user's email here. If the user is linked to a contact, this field is read only.
  • Signature Field - Use this field to upload an image of the user's signature. The signature is shown in the Log section of the Workflow Tab for approval actions taken by the user.
  • PMWeb Admin Checkbox - Check this box to allow the user to edit Security permissions.
  • Inactive Checkbox - Check this box to make the user inactive. Inactive users cannot log into PMWeb. Making a user inactive also frees up their license.
  • LDAP User Checkbox - Check this box if the user will access PMWeb via LDAP. (You must license the optional LDAP Integration for LDAP settings to have an effect.)
  • LDAP Path Field - Enter the LDAP path here.
  • LDAP Auth Field - A system defined list. Select the LDAP authorization type here.
  • SAML User Checkbox - If the user will log in via SAML, check this box. (You must license the (You must license the optional LDAP Integration for this setting to have an effect.)
  • Password Does Not Expire Checkbox - If checked, the Number of Days setting on the Password Setup Tab is not applied to this user.
  • Can Edit Expired Password Checkbox - If checked, the user is allowed to edit their password after the Number of Days setting on the Password Setup Tab has been applied.
  • Cell Field - Enter the user's cell number here. If the user is linked to a contact, this field is read only.
