This page is used to add and edit the design of Cost Worksheets. An unlimited number of worksheets can be created and they can be limited to use with a single project or to be used with all projects.

  • Worksheet Name Field - Required. Enter an alphanumeric name for the worksheet. The name must be unique in the database.
  • Project Field - Required. This determines which projects' data can be viewed using the worksheet. Select a project or "*Any*" (the default).
  • System Default Checkbox - Throughout PMWeb, when you click on a cost code that has been saved in a record line a Cost Worksheet opens in a dialog with the cost code line highlighted. This lets you see a transaction history for the cost code within the current project. One, and only one, Cost Worksheet can be designated as the one to show in this dialog by default across all projects and you designate it by checking this box.
 
In addition to selecting one worksheet to act as the system default you can also designate other worksheets to act as defaults within projects.

  • Column # Field - The order of lines in this table - top to bottom - determines the order of columns in your displayed worksheet - left to right. This field cannot be directly edited but you can drag lines up and down in the grid to indirectly edit.
  • System Field Field - Select a system field to display in this column or leave it empty if this will be a calculated field.
  • Column Name Field - Required. Defaults from the selected system field but may be edited.
  • Calculation Field - Click the helper button to open the Worksheet Calculation Dialog
  • Symbol Field - The choices are "Currency" or "Percent". This field is only editable for number fields.
  • Alias Field - This field appears above the column heading in the displayed Cost Worksheet
  • Column Size Field - Required. The default width of the column in the displayed Cost Worksheet
  • Visible Checkbox - If unchecked the column is not shown in the displayed
  • Tooltip Field - Text that appears when the cursor hovers over the column name field in the header of the displayed Cost Worksheet
