Define Conditional Security Rules Section

 
Use this section to create conditional statements that, if they evaluate as logically true, apply the exclusions configured in the Deny Access section.

Rule Name* Field

Required. Type a name for the rule.

Record Type* Field

2. Record Type* Field
Required. Select the record type that the rule is associated with. If you create the rule by right clicking on the Conditional Security Explorer tree this field will be read only.

Currency Field

Select a currency here. If you create conditional statements based on fields with currency data types the selection here will be used in combination with the conversion rates in Portfolio/Setup/Currency when evaluating the statement.

Evaluation Order Field

When loading manager pages or record selector lists conditional statements are evaluated in the order chosen here.

Read only. This is assigned by PMWeb but can be indirectly edited by dragging and dropping lines in the table, up or down.

And/Or Statements Fields

Complex conditional statements can be created using and/or modifiers as well as nesting them using opening and closing parentheses. Make sure to include the correct number of parentheses and place them correctly. If you don't, PMWeb will not be able to evaluate your conditional statement or it may be evaluated differently than you expected.

Select a field from the record to use in your statement. The fields in the list vary depending on the record type selected above. Not every fields from every record is available to use in conditional statements.

Select a logical operator from the list. The operators in the list vary depending on the data type of the field you selected.

If you choose "-- Select --" in the Dynamic Value field you can type a value in this field.
