Specifications

 
Specifications are tables of user defined fields that you can add to many of the record types in PMWeb. Multiple tables - called Spec Groups - can be defined for each record type. Each Spec Group is shown as a tab within the Attachments Tab of the record. The table at the top of this page displays all of the Spec Groups and the bottom of the page displays the controls needed to define the custom fields that go with each.

This table displays all of the Spec Groups in your data base. Double click on a line to display its data controls in the bottom of the page.

Required. Select the record type in which the Spec Group should appear.

If more than one Spec Group is defined for a single record record type, the number here determines the sort order of the Spec Group tabs from left to right.

Update Records Button

Click this button to save the current state of the Specifications Table to the Spec Group. If you do not click this button before navigating away, changes to the Specifications Table will be lost.

Click this button to close the currently displayed Spec Group without updating from the Specifications Table.
