Select Fields

 
Use this tab to add fields to your report. Fields can be added by dragging them from the tree and dropping them on the table, and by clicking the Add button in the table toolbar. A special field - "Link To Record" - lets you create reports with automatic drilldown capabilities.

The data that appear in this tree vary, depending on the record type associated with the report. Click to select one or more fields in the tree, then drag and drop them on the table to add them to your report. Alternatively, click the checkbox next to one or more fields in the tree and then click the floating action button to add them to the table.

  • Add Line Button - Clicking this button creates a new line in the table. This allows you to create custom calculations. Give the new line an alias, save the line, and then click the Calculation button in the line to open the Define Calculated Field dialog.

Each line in the table can appear as a column in your report. Lines can be linked to database fields or custom calculations.
  • Line # Field - This field determines the order, from left to right, of the columns in your report. This field can be edited by dragging lines up or down in the table.
  • Table Field - Read only. Indicates the database table of the field. For calculated lines, this is blank.
  • Field Field - Read only. The selected database field. For calculated lines, this is blank.
  • Alias Field - The name of the line as it will appear in the report.
  • Calculation Field - Click the helper button in this field to open the Define Calculated Field dialog.
  • Subtotal Field - Use this field to determine whether or not PMWeb should attempt to subtotal the line in the report. subtotal functions include:
None - the default
Sum
Min(inum)
Max(imum)
Last
First
Count
Avg
Count Distinct
  • Width Field - The width in pixels (px) for the column as it appears in the report. The default is 100 px.
  • Show Checkbox - Check this box to have the line appear as a column in the report.
  • Header/Footer Checkbox - Check this box to make the line available to add to reports headers and footer.
