HEADER FIELDS

3. HEADER FIELDS

  • Rule Name Field - Required. Enter a name for the field.
  • Record Type Field - Select the record type the rule is associated with.
  • Currency Field - Select a currency here. If you create conditional statements based on fields with currency data types the selection here will be used in combination with the conversion rates in Currency when evaluating the statement.
  • Evaluation Order Field - When loading manager pages or record selector lists conditional statements are evaluated in the order chosen here.

CONDITIONAL STATEMENT TABLE

4. CONDITIONAL STATEMENT TABLE

Use this table to define a conditional statement. When the statement evaluates as true, groups selected in the Deny Access table are denied access to the record.

  • Line # Field - Read only. This is assigned by PMWeb but can be indirectly edited by dragging lines in the table up or down, and dropping them.
  • Parentheses Fields - Use the three Parentheses fields to nest sections of the conditional statement.
  • And/Or Statements Fields - Complex conditional statements can be created using and/or modifiers as well as nesting them using opening and closing parentheses. Make sure to include the correct number of parentheses and place them correctly. If you don't, PMWeb will not be able to evaluate your conditional statement or it may be evaluated differently than you expected.
  • Field Field - Select a field from the record to use in the statement. The fields in the list vary depending on the record type selected above. Not every field from every record is available to use in conditional statements.
  • Operator Field - Select a logical operator from the list. The choices may vary, depending on the data type of the selected field.
  • Dynamic Value Field - If you select "User Company", "User Group", or "User Name", those values are dynamically inserted into the statement when it is being evaluated. If none of those is selected here, enter a static value in the next field to use instead.

DENY ACCESS TO TABLE

5. DENY ACCESS TO TABLE
Place a check in the checkbox at the beginning of the line for each user group that the record should be hidden from if the conditional statement evaluates as logically true.
