PMWeb Budget Requests are similar to Budgets in that the data from both ends up in the same place on most system screens and reports but Budget Requests differ from Budgets in two important ways:
There can be an unlimited number of "Approved" Budget Requests per project.
A cost code can appear an unlimited number of times in each Budget Request record.
Budget Requests' flexibility make them ideal to use to monitor and archive the budget development process. Successive Budget Requests can add to or subtract from previous ones and each record can have its own metadata, including Workflow/Collaboration details.
Budget Requests can be used in conjunction with, or in place of, PMWeb Budget records.
Post As Field - This is a system list field. Select either "Original Budget" (the default) or "Revised Budget". The selection here determines what worksheet column lines will be assigned to if they are posted. See Cost Ledgers Worksheet Column Table for more information.
Estimate Field - Read only. If this record was generated from an estimate the estimate appears in this field.
Project Field - Project Field. If a project is selected in the header, this field is locked at that project and is read only. If a program is selected in the header, the dropdown list only includes projects in the selected program.
