Change events can be used to initiate the change order process. A single Change Event record contains one table to gauge the potential budget and revenue impacts of a change and another table to track potential cost impacts. Change events can begin by being generated from Online Change Requests. Change event lines can be linked to Contract COs and Commitment COs.
Please note that change events are not required to process changes: Contract COs and Commitment COs can be created directly, without first creating change events.
Change Request Field - You can manually link this record to a change request by selecting it from this dropdown list. If you use the Generate button in the Online Change Request this field will automatically be filled in. Click the field label to navigate to the linked record.
Risk Analysis Field - You can manually link this record to a risk analysis by selecting it from this dropdown list. If you use the Generate button in the Risk Analysis this field will automatically be filled in. Click the field label to navigate to the linked record.
Linked Budget Line Field - This dropdown list shows the lines in the budget table. To show that a cost table line is linked to a budget section line, select a value here. If you use the Add Linked button this field is automatically filled in for you.
Commitment CO ID Field - Read only. If this line is linked to a commitment CO the ID of the change order appears here. Click the hyperlink to navigate to the record.
Invoice ID Field - Read only. If this line is linked to a progress Invoice the ID of the invoice appears here. Click the hyperlink to navigate to the record.
