HEADER FIELDS

4. HEADER FIELDS
  • Folder Name Field - Required. Type a name for the folder
  • Default Type Field - Type Field. Files added to the folder will default to this type but they can be individually edited.
  • Default Category Field - Category Field. Files added to the folder will default to this category but they can be individually edited.
  • Enable Versions Switch - The system default is off. If this switch is on, each time a duplicate of a file is added to the folder PMWeb will automatically increment the Version field. This can be used in conjunction with the Latest Versions Switch in the Explorer Pane Toolbar of Document Manager.
  • Duplicate Files Radio Buttons - The choice here determines what happens when PMWeb detects that duplicate files - identical file name and extension - are being added to the folder.
  • Overwrite Duplicate Files - The previously saved file is deleted and the new file is saved. This does not apply to checked out files or files in Workflow.
  • Skip Duplicate Files - The previously saved file is unchanged and the new file is not saved.
  • Instructions Field - Enter instructions for the folder here. These instructions display in the metadata section of the Details Pane and can help users understand the intended use of the folder.
