Google Linear Asset Dialog

 
Use this dialog to define the map points that define a linear asset. The basic technique is:

Update Linear Definition Checkbox

If this box is checked, when the Save or Save & Exit buttons are clicked the data in the Linear Definition Section of the current asset will be updated with data from the dialog.

Display PMWeb Features Checkbox

5. Display PMWeb Features Checkbox
If this box is checked, components of the asset that have a latitude and longitude entered on the Components Tab are displayed as gray map points. Hover over them to display tooltips about their identity.

Map Point Data Fields

These fields display information about the current location of the map point. They are automatically updates data each time you move it.

Click this button to add to the list of linear asset points

Click and drag this to define a new map point

Read only. Each entry in the points list is represented by one of these linear asset points. Click the point to select it in the list. With the point selected you can either delete it or insert a new point just after it in the list.

The latitude and longitude of each linear asset point displayed in the map.

Click in the list or on the map to select a linear asset point and then click this button to delete it.

Click this button to delete all points in the points list

Measurements Section

13. Measurements Section
The length and area are automatically calculated based on the points list. Select units of measure to automatically convert the measurements. Hover over the Area field to see it highlighted on the map. If "Update Linear Definition" is checked the data in these fields will overwrite the corresponding fields in the Linear Definition Section of the current asset each time the Save or Save & Exit buttons are clicked.
